My Cult of the Possessed warband is ready to face (or cause) the horrors that lurk in the streets of Mordheim. I'm going to keep this post brief-ish because last time I tried to make this post it broke my Tumblr Completely.

My beastmen who will double up for a later project.

A possessed based on an old Strigori Vampire. I really like this conversion. One of my favourites in the group.

A Plaguebearer incase of any daemon summoning.

My magister and a mutant. Really happy with the greenstuff work on the magister's face.

Lastly a handful of brethren.

This project has been really great to work on. I'll get back to the other Fantasy stuff I'm working on soon and get some photos.

I'm gonna drive myself crazy trying to really understand this game

Base damage: between 50 and 68

Bonus to damage from Frenzy: 15%

Bonus damage from Strength: 33%

Bonus damage from a two-handed flail: 21%

Malus damage from the enemy's Cloth: 15%

Final result: damage between 74 and 101

Except i can't understand how they reach that conclusion!

If we think that all modifiers are additives, we should get

68 x (1+0.15+0.33+0.21-0.15) = 68 x 1.54= 104.72

So, that's not it.

If all the bonuses/maluses are added separately and then multiplied?

68 x (1+0.15+0.33+0.21) x (1-0.15) = 68 x 1.69 x 0.85 = 97.682

So, not that either.

Maybe all the bonuses/malues are multiplicatives?

68 x 1.15 x 1.33 x 1.21 x 0.85= 106.97

NOT THAT EITHER! ARRRGGHHH

Got my Mordheim Warband assembled! Mix of a few kits from Frostgrave and Wargames Atlantic, to try and get that Ostlander big sweaty mountain men look. Not sure when, but sometime soon I’ll get these fellas painted, and get them ready for a down and dirty Mordheim campaign. They’ll be going up against pirates, Skaven, Tileans, and chaos cultists.

If you’re not familiar with how Ostlanders play in Mordheim, I picked them because their heroes have access to a skill called “Foul Odor.” Gives opponents a -1 to hit them in close combat because they’re just so damn stinky, and I can’t help but adore them for that.

Ruinous Clans, also called Clans of Ruin, are Skaven Clans that do not worship the Horned Rat, but rather the fell Gods of Chaos. They are mostly found up North where they struggle against the elements, each other, and Clan Moulder, an orthodox, Horned-Rat fearing clan. However, no few of them also reside in Mordheim, city of the damned.

This is a bit of work I have going on at the moment for a Mordheim warband. I was torn between Cults of the Possessed and Beastmen so I did the logical thing and started working on both. Spent a few hours sculpting bases for all of the models that will be in the warbands. I have plenty of old metal beastmen, a base I'll use for a centaur, a Magister conversion, a Darksoul conversion (based on the design of the Mad Pricker from the book Vermis), a possessed converted from some old vampire parts, and a couple of bases for the henchmen.

Stacking so many debuffs on the enemy they can't all show on-screen

(to be fair, half of those are tiny "-2% to critical hit resistance", and some of those are self-inflicted by the enemy itself)
